HOW TO SAVE AN HOUR A DAY

Are you doing everything you can to save time? Take a minute
to look at these tips, and we bet you'll save 60! How? By cutting the
length of your business encounters without offending anyone.

	1. Instead of inviting people to your office, visit them. That
way you can leave when you're ready to end the meeting. Daily
savings: 12 minutes.

	2. Arrange your office so you don't face the door. If you don't
make eye contact with people who pass by, you can avoid some
unnecessary conversation. Daily savings: 8 minutes.

	3. Stand up when a visitor enters your office--and stay
standing. If you don't invite people to sit down, the business will get
finished sooner. Daily savings: 10 minutes.

	4. Set time limits for chat. When someone interrupts your
work, let the person know you're willing to talk--but not indefinitely.
Tell the interrupter that you must be back at work on your project
by a specific time. Daily savings: 14 minutes.

	5. Distinguish between business and social talk. When
conversations turn to social topics, bring them to a close. This doesn't
mean you should be antisocial--just save the socializing for lunch and
breaks. Daily savings: 16 minutes.

Follow these tips, and you should find an extra hour of usable
work time in every day. Check it out!
